Mara Hoffman

Recently I have found myself dreaming about the summer months. Even though I love the sound of heavy rain on the window panes while sat safe and warm in my room, the frequent stormy weather has caused my mind to start wandering past images of sunny beaches and glistening seas. After stumbling upon Mara Hoffman's swimwear range these unattainable visions have only worsened.

The tribal theme of Hoffman's range is certainly nothing that hasn't been seen before, and usually I would grow tired of seeing it explored every time the summer season approaches, yet with Hoffman I can't help but be seduced. The bright colours of her range are a welcome revival from the dreary winter months while the geometric patterns she uses are both intricate and flattering.

Of the entire range, it is the above bikini that has me hoping that I'll stumble upon the ever allusive money tree. When I was dreaming up visions of lying on beaches it was exactly a piece like this that I imagined myself in. I find that with swimwear it is often hard to find a structure that is exactly right but Hoffman seems to have hit the nail on the head. Combined with the string detailing of the bikini bottoms I find myself entirely smitten.

Now where's that spare £200 I left lying around?
